Nike Air Max 95 was designed by Sergio Lozano and released in 1995. The inspiration for its creation was the human body, where the layered side panels resemble muscle fibers, and the midsole symbolizes the spine. It was the first Nike model with a visible Air unit in the forefoot and a black midsole. It quickly became an icon in 90s running and hip-hop and streetwear culture.
