Nike Air Max 95 was designed by Sergio Lozano and debuted in 1995. Its layered, wavy upper and visible air cushions in the forefoot and heel were a visual departure from earlier Air Max models, drawing inspiration from human anatomy (often described as ribs, muscles, and spine) and trail erosion. The shoe became an icon in hip-hop culture and the broader streetwear culture, and Nike has repeatedly reissued key colorways such as "Neon".
