Nike Air Max 270 was first introduced to the market in 2018 as the first Air Max model designed primarily as a lifestyle shoe rather than a running shoe. It features the highest Air unit in Nike's history at the time of its debut. Its design draws inspiration from the Air Max 93 and Air Max 180 models, combining elements of both into a modern silhouette for everyday wear, which further helped to integrate visible Air into casual sneaker culture.
