The original Nike Air Max 95 was designed by Sergio Lozano and debuted in 1995, inspired by the anatomy of the human body and patterns of erosion. It was revolutionary due to the visible air cushions in the forefoot. The Air Max 95 Ultra is a modern, lighter reinterpretation introduced to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the line, featuring injected Phylon foam and a simplified upper construction while maintaining the layered wave-shaped side walls. This model has become an icon in streetwear and hip-hop culture, often returning in classic and new colorways.
